What's new?
Oh, this chapter of course, as it was boring
- a) to inspect always the Impressum to know when the last changes have been made and even more
- b) to check the whole homepage to find out what has been changed.
And as there are really by now some important changes they are listed here:
- The main data base of the Wagenschein-Archive is now presented by Internet, but...
First: It's not complete, until now there are only some more than 34000 items listed...
and second: It is an "Access" Data base which is not so common and needs an Access program by Microsoft (from 2000 upward) to be inspected
and third: Most of the possible views of the objects are "empty" to protect the privacy of the involved persons.
But visitors to the Archive normally may have a free access (to the objects, not only the database!)
Additionally there is the draft of the archive-handbook uploaded as a Word file. Sorry, as intended for internal use it is in German only (as the data base is) and by a tablet as "iPad" it doesn't work correctly at all.
- By the "editor's corner" the article "Teaching to understand - even Informatics!" completely has been worked out by a parallel edition. And this was performed by two manners:
1st the author had tried there his first steps (the further steps you can see here) in CSS-programming (it really looks better!) and
2ndly he tried to create an "interactive course" - but it is still "under construction", especially the adaption to Common-World-English...
- And this should be added: "Of course" I am working with a "real" PC with a large screen, a keyboard and a mouse and a Firefox-browser. I have little opportunities to check the results by a tablet or still less a smartphone. Maybe it does not work at all with yours? Then - please send a Mail!
(There is no space here to announce the current corrections of typing errors, program faults and other "odds and ends" {Thanks to the Google translator!}. They will -as before- achieve not more than a change of the latest date in the Impressum)
